For this event Playground teamed up with Evil Empire to bring performance duo Trip Theory to Atlanta. Despite a few behind-the-scenes setbacks the party really went off well and people were dancing until dawn. This was our second party at 585 and everybody seems to be really digging the new venue.
Following the success of Frankie Bones we decided to bring another NY techno DJ. Along with the introduction of this DJ to the Atlanta scene the party was held at a brand new venue. Despite the heat the general consensus was that the party felt like an old skool rave, especially due to the Church-like DnB room that showcased the 180 Degrees Crew.
Solidarity 2 brought together nine Atlanta promoters to raise money for the Atlanta Humane Society and the Children's Restoration Network. The event featured 6 rooms of sound, 50+ DJs, and had over 700 people come out to show their support.
The return of NYC techno legend Frankie Bones! He had not played in Atlanta in more than five years, so we were long over due. Bones ripped the place apart and the vibe was off the charts!
After taking a four month break we returned to the Globe for one last show. We closed off the main room and made part of it a chill out room. We used the smaller front room for the dancefloor in an attempt to make it feel more crowded. Paperboy's legendary Frosty also showed up halfway through the night!

Party number five. This was also the first time we had boobs on the flyer - thanks Clem! We brought Spree back to town to play at the Globe, and Sharc dressed up in a chicken suit.
We teamed up with Psi-Fi Productions for our third party. We brought over hardcore legend Scott Brown from Scotland, along with Theory from Trip Theory for a live P.A., Faust and Shortee, and Tha Ill Crackha. The party took place at the Market, a warehouse-like venue that was being managed by Vinyl Boy.
This was our second party and our first real underground event. It took place in a loft that was rented out for parties by an Anime retail shop. It was also the first time we brought Spree to Atlanta. The power cut out half way through the night and everybody was singing "Shooting Star".
